Getting started on the Web

You can click here to visit our Web3 website, connect your wallet by selecting Wallet, and download the extension from the Google Chrome Web Store.

How do I create or import a wallet from a web/wallet extension?

Open the wallet extension and click Create Wallet, set a password, and back up your seed phrase. If you already have a wallet, you can import it using a seed phrase or private key. This allows you to seamlessly view and manage your assets and enjoy a smooth multi-chain experience.

Important notes

  • Please keep your password and seed phrase safe. We do not store your password or mnemonic phrase. If they are lost, we are unable to recover them, and you may face the risk of asset loss.

  • The wallet extension supports adding up to 1,000 accounts, while the app supports up to 100 accounts.
This limit includes all created, imported, hardware, and watch-only wallets.

Getting started on App

How do I create a new OKX wallet or import an existing OKX wallet?

Creating a new OKX wallet or importing an existing OKX wallet is simple and hassle-free. You can find out more on how to create or import an OKX wallet via our web or app:

How do I restore an existing OKX wallet?

If you lose access to your wallet or forget your password, restoring your wallet is simple — just make sure you have your seed phrase accessible. Check out our guide on importing and exporting your seed phrase or private keys if you want to learn more.

  1. Download the OKX Web3 browser extension or the app version. If you've already got the app or browser extension set up, you're good to go. Otherwise, follow the instructions above to set up your new wallet.

  2. Select Import wallet, and you'll be prompted to enter your 12-word seed phrase. If you're restoring an external wallet, you can paste that seed phrase or private key instead.

  3. Create a strong password that you'll remember. As mentioned above, this password merely serves as an extra layer of security in case someone gets access to your device.

Note: make sure to keep your seed phrase and password safe and never share with others to avoid any losses.

Can I test out OKX Wallet as a guest?

The best way to explore OKX Wallet is to download it and try it out! However, OKX also offers a guest mode on the home page that you can use on your desktop or mobile browser to explore some of OKX Wallet's features.
You'll be able to view a sample of transaction history, crypto holdings, DeFi approvals, and collected NFTs, along with a general summary that breaks down the sample wallet's holdings. If you want to view more product details or explore more features, you'll need to create your own OKX Wallet.
If you've initiated a crypto deposit into your OKX Wallet but it hasn't arrived yet, you may find out more about it here.
